Munich Business School

MBA (Master of Business Administration)
15 months

The 15-month full-time MBA International Management program prepares graduates to work in a complex multicultural world. It is designed to convey a comprehensive set of business knowledge and management tools, and to teach, develop and enhance the students' executive and leadership skills.

Though basic business principles apply everywhere, every international market is shaped by its own political, cultural and historical landscapes. A good share of our course work is therefore dedicated to exploring international markets, international business methods and specific economies that are currently impacting gobal business. In addition, students can choose two of four elective courses. Choices are: Management in Emerging Markets or Digital Business Transformation in the Fall term as well as Social Entrepreneurship or Global Supply Chain Management in the Spring term.

While the MBA students receive in-class instruction during Term 1 and 2 at Munich Business School, they can use Term 3 to select an international or a practical immersion. They can either spend a semester abroad at one of MBS's partner universities or complete an internship or an international consulting project.

Depending on their professional experience, students may also be eligible to waive the practical or international immersion in Term 3. This so-called Fast Track reduces the overall study time by three to a total of twelve months.

At our private university, the students are educated to become senior managers. After its founding in 1991, Munich Business School was able to set benchmarks in the German landscape of higher education particularly in two areas: The international focus and the hands-on approach of the studies have become a distinctive feature of the training at Munich Business School — long before these features have been defined as objectives at other universities.

For some time, Munich Business School has been leading in another area: Executive Education is a comprehensive and flexible offer for professionals to further develop their economic knowledge and soft skills anytime according to the operational requirements and their individual goals.

The modular structure of our program does not only offer our former students, but also a large number of executives the chance to make use of Munich Business School's latest methods of transferring knowledge and skills for their own qualification—on a life-long basis.

Studying in Munich

Munich, which is world-famous for its one-of-a-kind combination of economic power and quality of life, is an absolutely perfect choice for students of international business administration. The metropolis is one of Europe’s leading business regions. World-class German companies, including BMW, Allianz and Siemens, have their headquarters in Munich. Global players, such as Microsoft, Intel and General Electric, as well as numerous start-ups, have long come to appreciate the benefits of Munich as an economic region.

However, the economic landscape is not the only attribute that makes Munich such an attractive place to study. As a “global city with a big heart”, Munich has made a name for itself as a place that melds Bavarian tradition and global culture.

It is the one and only place where you can join the celebrations of the world’s largest folk festival, the Oktoberfest right after paying a visit to one of the world-famous museums of the Pinakothek. The Frauenkirche, the Englischer Garten, the Olympic Stadium and other sights have become landmarks of a city that likes to be called ”a village of millions at the foot of the Alps” or “Italy’s northernmost city”.
